- Lemon Citrus lemon is a small evergreen tree in the family Rutaceae, a flowering plant native primarily to Northeast India, South Asia. The ellipsoidal yellow fruit of the tree is used worldwide for culinary and non-culinary purposes, especially for juice, which has both culinary and cleaning uses. Its pulp and peel are also used in cooking and baking. The juice of the lemon is about 5% to 6% citric acid and has a pH of 2.2 and therefore has a sour taste.

Lemon juice is good for indigestion, antipyretic, protects hair and skin health.
